Land in southern Iowa is in high demand right now, and low supply for sale. The fabulous southern Iowa trophy whitetail deer hunting is still just as good as it ever was, but more people than ever know about it. With the extreme demand and competition for good southern Iowa land right now, trying to get your hands on a quality chunk of soil here can be pretty frustrating, especially if you live out of the area. I can help make it a little easier for you. I can give you a “boots on the ground” land report surely a lot easier and more quickly than you can *drop everything* you’re doing back home to pop out here to southern Iowa real quick and look at a piece in person that may be “under contract” to someone else by the time you arrive for a look-see. It won’t cost you a single penny to use me as a buyer’s agent, and I can represent you on any piece of land for sale in southern Iowa, regardless of whether it is one of my business listings or not.

I grew up in a family that has been involved in farming & ranching for over 75 years. I understand the special pride that comes with land ownership and have had a deep love and appreciation for the land ingrained in me since a very early age. I’ve spent countless hours on a tractor working the soil, and planting trees for the future with my kids. I know how nice it is not to have to compete with all the weekend warriors on public land who threaten to ruin your precious time in the woods. A serious bowhunter since my young teens, I dreamed for years of living in southern Iowa and owning my own piece of prime hunting land *here*, where I could build a home for my family to settle for many years, and we could enjoy right out our back door some of the best whitetail deer hunting in the lower 48 states. Perhaps you’re in the same boat right now? It took me longer to get to Iowa than I planned for, but I did get here.

The answers to some of these questions are easier than to others, but one thing I can tell you is that the cost of pretty much *all* land in southern Iowa has continued a steady climb upwards over the last decade, and the cost of really good land with income on it has seemed to go up even faster. God is *not* making any new land in southern Iowa, and it almost assuredly is *not* going to get any cheaper, if the last decade is any indicator. If you are looking to buy southern Iowa land – ANY kind of land, be it Iowa farm land, Iowa hunting land, Iowa cattle land, Iowa investment land, or a mix of those categories – there’s “no time like the present” to buy. I’ve learned the hard way that if you’re hoping or waiting for good quality southern Iowa hunting land to go down in price, you’re probably going to be waiting….a long time.
